Having started out as a beauty queen in 1993, Swedish bombshell Victoria Silvstedt has been enjoying the spotlights for quite some time now. Dabbling in modeling, acting and singing she’s often a guest at the biggest events in the entertainment business, including the annual Cannes Film Festival. Especially in the last couple of years, the former Guess spokesmodel has become a real fixture on the event’s prestigious Tapis Rouge. Yet even though she has so much experience, Silvstedt has to admit she feels the pressure every time she hits the French carpet.

“It’s nerve-wracking. I get so freaked out, I don’t know why. It’s not that I’m insecure. I’m very secure of myself, but it’s just the stress around the red carpet is huge. I’ve done it many times, but every time it’s like ‘I’m gonna fall. I’m gonna do this.. I’m gonna like…’ always disaster I feel. Like before, you feel the worst. Like now, I’m not stressed at all, this is chill and fun but the red carpet here it’s like… I don’t know why but it’s like such a big deal, biggest deal of everything. I’m never nervous for anything.”

Hiding her nerves perfectly, Victoria was pretty in purple in 2009 when she stepped out for the premiere of ‘Inglourious Basterds’. Her loose platinum blonde curls and a statement necklace complimented the draped design.

Back at the fest in 2011, the star turned up the glamour a notch, strutting her stuff in a plunging silver halter neck dress from Zuhair Murad…

… the following year she stepped out with designer friend Christophe Guillarme on her arm, and naturally, Vic was dressed in one of his creations. The pale yellow mermaid style dress with crystal embellishments at the waist and fringy details on the shoulders perfectly showed off her famous curves.

A big supporter of good causes, Silvstedt is also a regular at the amfAR Cinema Against Aids Gala, which is held every year during the Cannes Film Fest. For the 2013 edition the Scandinavian beauty showed some leg, wearing a textured white mini dress from Cavalli which featured spaghetti straps and gold accents…

… while in 2014 she was ready to give back in icy blue Joelle Flora, with sexy side cutouts.

Returning to the French Riviera a year later, she wowed photographers on the festival’s official carpet as she rocked up in a black lace dress from the same designer and finished off the sultry ensemble with Chopard jewels. The following day Victoria went with a lighter look, opting for cap-sleeved white Monsoori featuring a semi sheer skirt.

2016 called for a more princess like outfit, as she twirled down the carpet in a heavily embellished Ali Karoui gown. Attending the festival’s annual De Grisogono party some time later, Silvstedt opted another design from the Tunesian couturier, this time choosing a lacy number with a sexy open back and dramatic train. Letting the dress do all the talking, she kept her accessories to a minimum.

“Let me see your jewelry.”

“Oh, I just have a little… simple. Because I’m sparkling so much I just need simple earrings.”

Jetting to the South of France again in 2017, the model was a breath of fresh air as she arrived on the Tapis Rouge in an off the shoulder creation from Christophe Guillarme. The white floral bodice and voluminous purple skirt channeled true spring vibes, while a matching necklace, light smokey eye and loose waves finished off the fresh look.

After she got rave reviews for her purple getup, Victoria went with another violet dress the following year, dazzling onlookers with this heavily embellished illusion gown, which showed plenty of skin through the open back detail. Mixing up her hairstyle, she pulled back her tresses into a high ponytail and accessorized with a simple gold medallion necklace and a matching clutch.

Clearly knowing what looks best on her, the star chose a similar dress in 2019, but this time she opted for a revealing multicolor design. Keeping the look light and fun, Vic accessorized with a cute butterfly bag.

Then, finishing off her annual trip to the Cote d’Azur with an even more colorful bang, Silvstedt hit the amfAR Gala in a sugar sweet strapless dress with tiered ruffles.

“I’ve been a supporter for fifteen years already for amfAR. So for me its just one more reason to give back. And why not one more reason to get pampered. But… you know every woman likes to be glammed up right.”

Well that she sure knows how to do! It’s safe to say that hitting the red carpet is never boring with the ever glamorous Victoria Silvstedt.
