Paul Rudd has revealed that he may have been the man responsible for Leonardo DiCaprio appearing in the blockbuster hit ‘Titanic’.

Back in the day, Paul had a small part opposite Leo in the Baz Luhrman film ‘Romeo + Juliet’, and Rudd recently revealed that one night after shooting, he and DiCaprio were driving to a bar, when his co-star told him he’d just been offered a part in a really big movie, but was unsure whether or not to take it, as his career so far had mostly consisted of indie dramas.

Paul remembers telling Leo to do it, which he obviously did, and ‘Titanic’ went on to become the highest grossing movie ever at that time, and won 11 Academy Awards. Looking back, Rudd says he doubts that he really had any actual influence over DiCaprio’s decision, but he admits that it’s interesting to think he might have been, in some small way, partly responsible for the film’s huge success.
