In today’s episode, we introduce a special guest, Rasheda Ali Walsh, the daughter of a hero and icon to many, Muhammad Ali.


Rasheda Ali is an internationally acclaimed author, speaker, and actress. She has written the book “I’ll Hold Your Hand So You Won’t Fall – A Child’s Guide to Parkinson’s Disease”. Available in four different languages (French, Spanish, English and Polish), the book has received praise from USA BookNews, PD Advocate and actor Michael J. Fox and medical editor for ABC News, Timothy Johnson.

Rasheda has been serving on the advisory board at Brainstorm Cell Therapeutics Inc. since 2007. Besides this, she is a patron for Muhammad Ali Parkinson’s Center. As a speaker on Parkinson’s disease, she frequently travels across the globe to spread awareness regarding the condition. Her recent speaking engagements include the Annual Parkinson’s & Movement Disorder Gala Fundraiser, the National Parkinson’s Foundation Moving Day Events, and the “Bringing Hope To Life” Fundraising Gala.

As a television personality, Rasheda has served as a production assistant for the show ‘Star Search Productions’ and has appeared on VH1’s ‘Love and Hip Hop: New York’.

The multitalented personality has also made appearances on ‘The Today Show,’ ‘Good Morning America,’ ‘Dateline with Katie Couric,’ ‘News Nation with Tamron Hall,’ and ‘New York Nightly News With Chuck Scarborough.

’She also wrote, hosted, and produced “In My Corner with Rasheda Ali”, a talk show filmed in Las Vegas. Ali is also a member of The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and the Screen Actors Guild as well. And has served as the Celebrity Emcee for Martin Luther King Jr. Parade, the Women in Business Awards, and The Ms. Arizona Pageant. Her business acumen has enabled her to open two shoe stores in New York and Atlanta. Recently, Rasheda launched her collection of shoes called Encore. Her boutique, ‘B Chic,’ located in Atlanta, was once featured in the TV show, ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta.’


Rasheda Ali was born in 1970 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, to the prominent professional boxer, Muhammad Ali, and his second wife, Belinda Boyd aka Khalilah Camacho Ali. Both of her parents had been married before. Rasheda has eight siblings and half-siblings, including twin sister Jamillah, Khaliah, Miya, Muhammad Ali Jr., Laila, Hana, Maryum, and Asaad. The best advice she got from her father is to stay humble. As he loved everyone equally, regardless of their race and religion, he wanted his children to have the same quality.

In the early 1990s, Rasheda Ali studied at the University of Illinois and graduated from there with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications.

Talking about her love life, she is married to Bob Walsh, who is a restaurateur and co-owns a Chicago-based restaurant called Biaggio’s Italian Restaurant. The two have been married since 1997 and have two sons: Nico and Biaggio.
