Lady Gaga’s Assistant Shot, Singer’s Dogs Stolen In Hollywood Theft – Two of Lady Gaga’s French bulldogs were stolen and one of her assistants shot in the process Wednesday night.

Lady Gaga’s dog walker is in the hospital following a shooting that took place while he was walking the 34-year-old singer’s dogs on Wednesday night.

According to Los Angeles police, the incident occurred at 9:40 Wednesday night on Sierra Bonita Avenue in Hollywood, as the 30-year-old victim was walking the singer’s dogs when a gunman shot him once, took the dogs and fled the scene.

A third dog was able to escape and later collected by officers in the area. The suspect was seen fleeing in a white vehicle, north on Sierra Bonita Avenue towards Hollywood Boulevard, police said.

The male victim was transported to the hospital and is currently in critical condition, an LAPD spokesman says. The shooter, described as a male who used a semi-automatic handgun, was seen leaving in a vehicle going northbound toward Hollywood Boulevard.

The LAPD’s robbery/homicide division has taken over the case.

A rep for Lady Gaga, who is currently in Italy filming the movie Gucci, confirms the victim was the singer’s dog walker and the two dogs were her French bulldogs, Koji and Gustav.

The sources said the pop star “is offering half-a-million dollars to anyone who has her 2 dogs, no questions asked. Anyone who has the dogs can use this email — — to retrieve the reward.”

Authorities are searching for the shooter, who they said used a semiautomatic gun and sped from the scene in a white vehicle.

The case has been assigned to the police department’s robbery-homicide division.

French bulldogs are small and known for their large, bat-like ears. They are the fourth most popular dog breed in the United States, according to the American Kennel Club.

In October 2018, Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, posted a photo series of the dogs in Chia pet costumes for Halloween.

In 2016, Gaga announced she’d adopted a new puppy who she would later name Gustav.

“I’m proud to announce we added a new member to the #JOANNE family,” the singer shared on Instagram.

“I haven’t named him yet but I call him both cowpig and moopig in the meantime!” Gaga continued in her post.

Tara Bruno, founder of SNORT Rescue, an organization that rescues bulldogs, pugs and Boston terriers, says French bulldogs are among the most stolen dog breeds because they’re very popular, are small and portable, and are expensive. French bulldogs from reputable breeders cost between $3,000 and $5,000, she says.

The AKC lists French bulldogs as the fourth most popular breed in the United States, behind Labradors, golden retrievers and German shepherds. But French bulldogs are easier to steal because they are small, says Bruno.

“The motive is resale. Thieves know they can get a couple thousand dollars for them,” she says.
