Rapper Kodak Black has pleaded guilty to federal weapons charges.
Kodak decided to change plea when in Miami federal court Thursday, months after he had pleaded not guilty. Kodak will be remaining in a federal detention center in Miami since his arrest.
Prosecutors charged the 22-year-old rapper for crimes including false information on federal forms to purchase three firearms.
Furthermore, prosecutors say a weapon purchased by Kodak was found at the scene of a South Florida shooting. Kodak could be facing up to eight years in prison. Federal judge deny his request for bond saying he was a danger to the community based on his lengthy criminal record. Kodak was busted at the Rolling Loud festival, officers had warrants for his arrest after false statement charges. The rapper also faces drug, weapons and sexual assault charges in other states.
