John Boyega has admitted that he was the infamous cast member who almost spoiled the new ‘Star Wars’ movie, ‘Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker’.
Director JJ Abrams first revealed the news that one of his stars had left their copy of the script to the highly anticipated new film under their bed, where it was found by a cleaner and put up for sale on the auction website eBay. Luckily, a member of the production team spotted it and they crew was able to retrieve the valuable document before any secrets leaked out.
Now, British actor John, who plays the former stormtrooper Finn in the sci-fi saga, has admitted that the incident was his fault, explaining that he’d hidden the script, but then forgot to retrieve it when he moved to a new apartment.
Luckily, Boyega revealed that even if a fan had read it, they still wouldn’t know the end of the movie, as the team shot several versions of the final scene, and even he doesn’t know how it’s really going to wrap up.
So to see how it all turns out, you… and John… will have to wait until ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ arrives in cinemas on the 20th of December.
