Apple has finally announced the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. The three devices represent the cutting edge of smartphone technology, thanks to a greatly improved camera and Apple A13 Bionic processor. But not everyone needs or wants to spend all that money on a new iPhone—and if that’s you, Apple has also announced big discounts on some of its slightly older phone models.
iPhone XR APPLE
The much-loved iPhone XR, for example, is now available for just $599. The XR is the predecessor to the iPhone 11, and it has plenty to offer. It boasts an edge-to-edge display so it has a design similar to the iPhone 11. That display comes in at 6.1 inches, and has a resolution of 1,792 x 828. The device is also available in a range of colors, including black, yellow, red, coral, and white. Safe to say, there should be something out there for everyone.
Of course, it’s usually what’s under the hood that’s more important. The phone comes with the ultra-powerful Apple A12 Bionic, along with either 64GB or 128GB of storage, which should be more than enough for the vast majority of users. It has a 12-megapixel main camera with an aperture of f/1.8.
Perhaps the best thing about the iPhone XR is how inexpensive it is right now. While the device was $750 when it was launched last year, it’s now reduced to $599, which means you can get a modern, powerful iPhone for a pretty low price.
iPhone 8 APPLE
The iPhone XR isn’t the only device on sale. Apple has also announced a huge discount on the iPhone 8, which is also quite powerful. Sure, the iPhone 8 may not have the same modern design as Apple’s most recent phones, but it still has a lot going for it—and is a great upgrade for those still using an older iPhone. The iPhone 8 offers an Apple A11 Bionic chip, along with 64GB or 128GB of storage.
Alternatively, you could instead go for the iPhone 8 Plus, which offers all the great features from the iPhone 8 with a larger 5.5-inch display and an extra camera lens. That extra lens allows for a number of extra features—including Portrait Mode, which has gotten better and better over the past few years.
