Even by Conor McGregor standards, this is pretty low.
Video obtained by TMZ shows a man identified as the UFC star shockingly punching an elderly man in the face at an Irish pub because he wouldn’t drink McGregor’s whiskey.
The incident took place on April 6 at The Marble Arch Pub in Dublin, TMZ reports, after the 31-year-old McGregor walked into the bar and began handing out whiskey glasses to pour the patrons a glass of Proper No. Twelve, which was founded by McGregor.
Immediately after the elderly man is handed a glass by McGregor, he moves it away from him toward the front of the bar, not wanting to partake. McGregor appears to be insulted and gets in the man’s face, prompting two other men to try to calm McGregor down.
After pouring a few glasses, McGregor starts yapping at the older gentleman once again while making a punching motion. When the man turns his head away, McGregor uncorks a left hand to the left side of the man’s face. McGregor is then swiftly whisked away by the two men who were trying to calm him down.
The man who was punched somehow didn’t seem too fazed by the blow, remaining calm in his seat almost as if nothing happened.
McGregor has taken his violence outside of the octagon before. Last year at Barclays Center, McGregor injured two people when he threw a steel dolly through a bus window in a fit of rage directed at rival Khabib Nurmagomedov. He was charged with assault, and ended up taking a no-jail plea deal.
Five months ago, just days after completing community service ordered after the bus incident, McGregor was arrested for smashing a fan’s cellphone in Miami.
