This was the shocking moment a man was hit with a heavy duty bike lock in a random assault after having an argument with a separate person in Camden.

The footage from Saturday (May 25) night shows two men initially having an argument with some light shoving when what appears to be a random cyclist smashes one of the men with a lock.

Security personnel quickly intervene as the victim stumbles and the cyclist attempts to make a getaway.

All plaintiffs involved are restrained by security even though they are still striving to attack each other.

The filmer explained: “Two boys argue with each other with what seems like harmless pushing.

“As the pair began to settle down and wind down their argument with drunken pushing and shoving, a man creeps up behind one of them and smashed him in the back of the head with a steel bike lock in what seems like an unsuspecting attack.

“The bike lock attacker tries to flee but nightclub bouncers follow him and restrain him in the middle of the street.

“Meanwhile, the man who was attacked with the bike lock has managed to stand up and all bloodied and dizzy attempts to kick and punch the bike lock attacker.”
